Giuseppe Zimbalatti was born on March 13th, 1961 in Reggio Calabria. In 1986, he graduated in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Naples. In 1990, he was promoted to researcher in Agricultural Mechanics (SDS AGR/09) at the University of Reggio Calabria, Department of Agriculture. In 2000, he became associate professor in Agricultural Mechanics (SDS AGR/09) and full professor in the same discipline in 2010, at the same University. He was the Director of the “First Level International Master in Technological Innovation and Sustainability of Mediterranean Oliviculture” in 2009. Prof. Zimbalatti is member of the “Accademia dei Georgofili” of Florence as well as the “Italian Academy of Forestry Sciences”. He was the Scientific Responsible of diverse national and regional scientific projects. He is the author of more than 140 scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals, in international books, in national journals, and abstracts or communications to national and international congresses and conferences. He is a participant in national and international research projects. From 2010 to 2015, he was the General Director of Agriculture and Forestry Department of the Calabrian Region. Currently he is the Director of AGRARIA Department of the University Mediterranea of Reggio Calabria.
