The company “Control in applied Physiology - CP” (Regelungstechnik in der angewandten Physiologie, CP GbR) is a start-up company of the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering Potsdam-Bornim (ATB, Germany) that was founded in 2002 and got innovation award in 2003 for an early ICT product in the framework of precision horticulture. The innovation captured the development of a fruit sensor that enabled the fruits’ spectral analyses for measuring the fruit chlorophyll and sweetness (soluble solids content) non-destructively. A technology transfer was carried out for applications in cheese and meat analyses.
Since then, the company was active in the field of quality monitoring of agro-food products including the development, construction, manufacturing, and installation of these instruments as well as the corresponding design and development of software. Core competence are instruments for process inspection and monitoring using innovative technologies accounting and addressing the product physiology aimed at maintaining the market value in storage, transport, and processing.
