Development and prove of concept of a farm management system for automatisation of farm processes with usage of building referenced spacetimedata, use case: dairy production
With the development of new procedures to the location of animals, tools and actors in stall systems new dimensions of the individual data processing and information extraction for animals through the consideration of building referenced space-time data open up. The project aims to develop a farm management system for decision support and automation of business processes using individualized, building referenced space-time data using the example of milk production in the context of industrial research. The large number of resulting process data during the production is combined together with the master data of the dairy cows and with the individual animal space-time coordinates. From these data, behavioral characteristics and animal physiological conditions can be derived. When the project starts the creation of a list of requirements and the definition of integrative layer model for the targeted farm management system is necessary. Based on that the analysis and the drawing up of the requirements for a database for data provision in the layer model is carried out. This database provides parameters that serve as a fundamental basis for the development of a decision support algorithm of animal behaviour and are visualized user-friendly. To determine these parameters a transmitting and receiving system must be implemented, which ensures in combination with locating transponders the animal identification function of the space-time data. Supportive, the control and evaluation of additional sensors is necessary. After integration of the entire system in a pilot plant the field test is performed. Finally, studies and method developments are carried out with regard to the individual animal space-time coordinates and resulting behaviour patterns are analyzed. From this new animal characteristics arise that should be taken into account in the farm management system.
