The truly innovative idea of this partnership is to integrate data from distributed information sources to provide new technologies, solutions and cultivation techniques for modern high yielding and low emis-sion precision farming. The com-mercial output targets optimization of key operations in the cropping cycle by balancing profitability for the farmer with risk of unintended emissions from fields and subsur-face.
Mobile Nitrogenous Gas Sensor for Air Quality, Breeding, and Farming applications
The objective of M3GA project is the development of a novel miniaturized tool to measure trace concentrations of nitrous oxide (N2O) and ammonia (NH3) in the air on to be used to monitor and manage of ventilation in livestock buildings or to monitor emissions from agriculture. The control of N2O and NH3 emissions from agriculture is becoming a great challenge for the next years: in France agriculture and farming account for more than 90% of the N2O and NH3 emissions.
We are investigating the application of UAV in the landscape context in order to drive regulatory compliance and business performance.
This project is funded by the innovation program of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), funding agency is the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE).
