He has coordinated the design and construction of various terrestrial, airborne and marine mobile mapping systems. In this same period he has acted as Co-PI/PI on more than 13 R&D projects with a combined gross value of €10.6m (direct value of €2.5m) funded from national, European and international corporations. He has formed strong linkages with Industry including high-tech SMEs/MNCs in Ireland as well as international organisations & agencies.
