Priority: Dr. Stergios Tzortzios is a Professor on Biometry in the Faculty of Agriculture-Crop Production and Rural Environment, and Director of the Laboratory of Biometry at the University of Thessaly. His research interests are biometrical applications (computing statistics) in the fields of plant and animal science and research, with special emphasis to the organization and processing huge data bases. He has participated in more than one hundred forty international conferences and seminars with more than one hundred fifty papers presentation. He was elected Director of Studies in the new Educational Program of “Management of Agricultural Environment and Natural Resources “. Elected IROICA Treasurer (Okt 2006-2007). Elected Greek Representative (five times, 2000-2009) and Elected Vice-President (2009-2011) in the Committee of the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR) of the International Biometric Society (IBS), and elected (two times-2002-05, 2005-08) Vice-President of HAICTA-the branch of the European EFITA.
