VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland is the largest multi-technological applied research organisation in Northern Europe. VTT is a part of the Finnish innovation system under the domain of the Ministry of Employment and the Economy. The Research Centre, with its headquarters in Espoo, is impartial non-profit expert organisation and carries out the mission of creating high level scientific and techno-economic knowledge and know-how for the needs of industry and knowledge-based society.

VTT’s activities are focused on three areas: Knowledge intensive products and services, Smart industry and energy systems and Solutions for natural resources and environment.
