Expertise: Department has expertise in research on biochemistry, molecular biology, hydrobiology, entomology, microbiology and zoology.

Departmental research projects were focussed on areas such as Ticks and tick-borne disease, Wildbees, Honeybees and Honeybee viruses, Alg and diatome biology and culture, biochemistry of membrane fatty acids in fungi, insects and humans, development and testing molecules for anti-tumor activity.
