SIRC Sp. z o.o., www.si-research.eu, is an SME focused on designing and developing integrated circuits, modules and systems for radar and communication applications in a wide frequency range, covering microwave, mm-wave and sub-THz. SIRC is a research-intensive SME and has several on-going R&D projects. We are currently working on an R&D project financed by the Polish National Centre for Research and Development (NCBiR), the aim of which is to develop novel, highly-integrated FMCW radar sensors operating in the X band. Other four research projects, two funded by NCBiR and two by European Space Agency (ESA) will deliver different innovative integrated circuits dedicated to radars sensors operating at different frequencies: 8-12 GHz, 35 GHz and 120 GHz. Additionally, signal processing algorithms will be developed by SIRC researchers. The area of possible applications for SIRC radar sensors is wide and includes autonomous vehicles, drones, infrastructure monitoring, satellite imaging and many more. SIRC takes special interest in the agricultural domain, where it seeks to apply its innovative radar sensor technology for remote monitoring of crops and soils, especially with respect to foliage status and moisture content, respectively.
