Bodata is a small ICT company that focuses since 1985 on the development and implementation of automation applications for the fruit growing industry. Main customers are fruit growers and advisors in the Benelux. In close cooperation with research institutes and the fruit industry Bodata developes disease models for apples (apple scab, Neonectria, powdery mildew) and pears (Stemphylium) that are widely used over Europe in practice and produces the METY and Mety² Weatherstations. In the 1990's Bodata developed the Irry irrigation model for drip irrigation and overhead sprinkler irrigation in apples and blueberries. This model will be reintroduced in 2015-2017 in a project with PPO Fruit at Randwijk (The Netherlands).
