SmartHoney

Project information
Beekeeping is one of the oldest areas of human activity. The object is to breed bees. Output products are honey, wax, propolis, pollen, royal jelly and bee venom. A major output beekeeping activities is also pollinate plants. The main economic importance of beekeeping is mainly in the pollination activity of bees. An important significance not only bee keeping products, although they have justified their importance. In European conditions the contribution of pollination activity of bees about 10 times higher than that of bee products. If bees and their pollination activities was, could, with hindsight occur decline of agriculture and an increase in food prices, including honey Breeder-beekeeper is in this position, which regulates the conditions for the life of the colony, so that nothing prevented the harmonious development, and thus maximize application assembly instinct of bees, thus hoarding of honey respectively pollen so targeted. New Technologies and the Future Internet allows us to arrive at a relatively cheap and simple solution to monitor all kinds of physical quantities in specific combinations, such as monitoring the living conditions of colonies, their condition and variable activity. These data can greatly assist beekeepers in their work. The objective of SmartHoney is to design solution focused on monitoring situation inside and outside of hive, providing prediction of bee behaviour and sending alerts to beekeepers and allow provide interactive analysis in time. For monitoring will be used WSN based on IQRF nodes. IQRF is a platform for low speed, low power, reliable and easy to use wireless connectivity e.g. for telemetry, industrial control and building automation. IQRF is a complete ecosystem from one brand including hardware, software, development support and services. IQRF network can easily be connected to Internet via the Cloud server. IQRF is ideal to implement Internet of Things.
