Robotic milking systems for dairy cows - economics, milk quality, nutritional enticers - Ontario

Project information
Objectives 1) To compare automatic milking systems with conventional parlour milking for costs and production efficiency. 2) To evaluate nutritional enticers under a controlled switchback study to design a unique formula. 3) To monitor raw milk quality, and to locate the source(s) of deterioration if it exists. 4) To inform dairy producers of economic, nutritional, quality benchmarks for robotic milking Funding Program: OMAFRA / UofG Partnership - Research Theme: Production Systems - Animal Commodity/Sector: Animal Production
