The Open University has spent almost 50 years inspiring learning and creating higher educational opportunities with no barriers to entry. As part of the Open University, The Open University Business School provides undergraduate and master's level course in management. The OUBS is one of an elite group to have earned AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS accreditation – awarded by the world’s leading international management education associations to fewer than 1% of business schools globally.Its MBA is ranked 12th in the Global Online MBA Rankings by CEO Magazine and 1st for UK institutions (2018). In the evaluation of research excellence of UK institutions, the OUBS ranked 32nd (out of 101), with the majority of the outputs sitting in the 3, 4 and 4* categoriesand into the top third of Business Schools and Departments of Management. The OUBS performed at the very highest levels (4*, 4 and 3) for impact, resulting in being ranked 16th overall (out of 101). The Business School has developed solid capabilities in MOOC production and is offering two suites of courses on Future Learn that, when completed, can be used for obtaining credits towards formal qualifications at the undergraduate and MBA level.
