Tabit is a rural life model whose aim is to move the agriculture in Turkey forward has created the Smart Village incorporation (Vodafone, Intel, Netafim, Axa etc.) with the many technology and agricultural firms by bringing the public and private sector under the same roof in order to create a common future, increase productivity, profitability of small producers and bring the small farmers with the agricultural technology.
This is the first smart village project both in the World and Turkey which synthesizes academic, public and private sector knowledge with the valuable experience of farmers and the high technology in order to improve the productivity and the life standards at the rural.
Today, the competition for the small farmers with the industrial production is even more challenging due to the difficulty of the information access, the rural is hesitant to the change and is affected by the natural events. This project is in the line of with our values that are preventing the migration from rural to the urban and increasing the productivity of the farmers in order to improve the life quality of the rural.
Smart Village is the first and the only smart village in the world that involves from end to end advanced agricultural technology and IOT applications which stands for the internet of things. This project aims to enhance the productivity with the smart agricultural technology and to improve social life standards of the farmer by providing the required knowledge. About thirty national and international companies have the technological products of Smart Village and share their expertise. Good agricultural techniques and qualified livestock activities are carried out within the project and these smart agricultural operations can be investigated on the land by both guests and the farmers. All this process of change in the lives of the farmers is recorded with scientific and visual methods.
At Smart Village, measurement of the ground surface is done by smart systems and the fields can be tracked by the data received from the sensors. The irrigation and automation systems, measurements and all the data can be checked on farmers' smartphones and tablets.
