Kayseri Seker Fabrikasi A.S. is a farmer’s organization with 28.000 partners that perfoms contracted sugar beet farming approximately 15.000 farmers within the provinces of Kayseri, Yozgat, Sivas, Tokat, Nevşehir and Amasya on an average of 42.000 hectares of area. It is the only company in the sector that holds 3 factories and meets 16% of country’s sugar consumption. Kayseri Seker adds value to Turkey by its smart and good agricultural practices, production approach towards water and energy saving, zero waste target, healthy and safe food production, value to farmers and human resources, social responsibility awareness, innovative practices and the collaborations with the major brands around the world.
The R&D Center of KSF carries out its activities since 2014. Kayseri Seker has the first R&D Center in sugar sector and Kayseri. It carries out innovative projects with its multidisciplinary workforce. They have been conducting studies in order to provide added value to regional products by developing new products, provide profitable and sustainable agronomic practice, develop a new product family in order to encourage agriculture beyond quota of sugar beets and increase their R&D potential by increasing expertise in the fields of Biotechnology, Agriculture, Food, Information and Machinery Technologies.
