Many scientists from all over the world are linked to researches carried out at the Università Mediterranea, which commits itself towards emphasizing the advancement of young scientists and the further development of its range of degree's programs by seizing the opportunities offered by the Bologna System.

In 2012 the implementation of the reform Gelmini has redesigned the structure of the University with the establishment of six departments that have replaced the 4 faculties:
