Division of Agri-food Marketing and Chain management applies socio-economic and marketing techniques to agri-food in the broadest sense: involving consumer studies, supply chain management, innovation and network studies, waste treatment and diversification (traditional products, food tourism). The research activities of the Division of Agri-food Marketing and Chain management concentrate on the agri-business sector (agriculture, horticulture, fisheries, food processing and distribution), both on the domestic and foreign markets (EU, Central and Eastern Europe, south-east Asia and Africa). More specifically, the following research topics are well developed within the Division of Agri-food Marketing and Chain management:
Chain and network management in the agri-business sector
Agri-business competitiveness and management
Innovation management
Quality management in food and agriculture
Feasibility and investment studies (cost-benefit analysis)
Consumer attitudes and behaviour
Socio-economic analysis (e.g. changes in public policy, ethics)
