In this project with using Data Integration, we will improve traceability of supply chain of citrus for the improvement of supply chain linkages to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of production and distribution; and improvement of on-farm production practices. During the project we will set-up and pilot external traceability system for citrus with using ICT. This system to be tested in Turkey and Greece and Spain and will integrate key applications and services that will address the challenges presented above. System will record and follow the citrus come from farmers and are processed and/or distributed as end products for consumers. Therefore, the basis of all traceability systems will be the ability to identify citrus that move along the supply chain. In practice, traceability systems will record keeping systems that show the path of citrus from suppliers through intermediate steps to consumers.
