CeRSAA is a Special Agency of the Ligurian Riviera Chamber of Commerce. It’s a structure whose main objective is to experiment new technologies, techniques and products to meet the challenges posed by a constantly evolving agricultural sector therefore providing innovation and updating with regards to the main agricultural issues. Given its multidisciplinarity and experience, CeRSAA is a key partner in supporting the project. Only in the last decade CeRSAA has participated, as a partner or leader, in project activities financed at European, national and regional level, as well as to different bidding with international organizations such as UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) and EFSA (European Food Safety Authority), dealing with issues such as: biodegradable materials for agriculture and sustainable tourism (LIFE04 ENV/IT/463, BIOMASS), control of mycotoxin in wines (INTERREG IIIC WEST PROMSTAP, MYCOMON), natural molecules extracted from plants for use as agropharmaceuticals (INTERREG IIIA, ALCOTRA SALVIE), management and reuse of agricultural waste (LIFE07 ENV/GR/000280, PROSODOL - LIFE10 ENV/GR/594, WASTEREUSE, ARIMNET AridWaste), development of rural and agro-industrial economy of the northern Mediterranean (INTERREG MARITTIMO, PYRGI), enhancement of irrigation and fertigation efficacy (CIP EcoInnovation , RIGA – Horizon2020, FERTINNOWA), set up of technologies for climate mitigation in the agricultural sector (LIFE17 CCM/GR/00087 – CLIMAMED), set up of methodologies and technologies for the monitoring, the control and the increase of the energetic efficiency in protected crops cultivation (SAMLAB project funded by Liguria Region).
