The UoI Department of Chemistry aspires to be involved in and contribute to developments in the field of Chemistry. Therefore, the Department has set three essential and feasible targets: to recruit distinguished research and teaching staff; to expand its research activity; and to constantly improve its Study Programme. We believe that the students of an academic Department constitute the foundations of its existence and development, and its graduates the driving force of society; this is why the UoI Department of Chemistry, through its Study Programme and its numerous scientific activities, principally seeks to provide its students the essential knowledge that will help them hold important and crucial research or academic positions in the wider field of Chemistry.
