UniBw is made up of the University and a University of Applied Sciences and offers a total of 18 programs
of study in 7 departments of the University, 3 departments of the College, and 4 research centers. These are
CODE (Cyber Defense Research Center), MIRA (Research Center for Munich Integrated Research on
Aerospace), MOVE (Research Center for Modern Vehicles) and RISK (Research Center for Risk,
Infrastructure, Security and Conflict). These research centers bundle already existing inter-university
cooperation and act as a central point of contact for the respective topics. The joint aim of the research
centers is to make the research strengths of the university visible and to position them in the national and
international research landscape.
