IoT system for vine disseas prevention
Constanta Maritime University, Romania, has a multidiciplinary teams involve in the research activity of national and international project. The MERIAVINO project involves electronic, microbiological and computer science research to detect and prevent vine diseases in order to increase the production of organic products. MERIAVINO aims to help farmers and livestock companies access real-time information for personal and agronomy decisions to increase staff comfort and decrease livestock monitoring costs. The mission is to promote smart methods for profitable, ecological and socially responsive agricultural systems.
Development of an experimental adaptive system based on IoT technology for the Dobrogean vineyard area, Romania is the aim of the project. Identification, remote monitoring and diagnosis in the vine disseas. The system is based on sensors to collect the data about the soil, plant, athmospheric parameters local and distance storge used in the disgnosis algorithms. The system can also be used in other agronomic farms due to its adaptive part.
Energy and nutrient used, soil management, plant diagnosis, organic products, climate change reduction
The team of researchers dealing with the monitoring of the vine, from the Maritime University of Constanta, can offer expertise to a consortium to contribute to the Topic 1,2 ,3 on sustenable and resilient croping system in Dobrogean area (South of Roamania). We can design and develop low cost systems for monitoring and diagnosis the viticola farm to prevent the vine disseas, to increase the vine production, to reduce the nutrients, to replace the classical agronomic protocol.
The developed system can compare data from sensors and cameras to diagnose vines in order to prevent diseases that can be seen on the leaves. Adaptive methods are used in data processing so that the system can be used for other plants as well.
