Expertise: The Section of Land Engineering is involved in the last 10 th years in the develop and in the evaluation of agricoltural equipment for the harvest of different tree fruit. The general issues concerning the mechanization and automation in agriculture, forestry and livestock, which analyzes the technical and operational aspects of efficiency, energy management, ergonomics and workplace safety, environmental sustainability. The activity is integrated with an intensive study initiated collaboration with local authorities, organizations working in technical support in agriculture at national and regional level, and the business world, allowing an effective transfer of results of original application research conducted in the university. Facility: The Sassari University have these UAVs technologies: three UAVs complete of camera and ready to fly, three pilots of the drone enabled to the flying according Italian rules (E.N.A.C.). Two cameras for aerial observation (RGB Sony D 600 and Go pro camera) used in preliminary studies on vineyard. Two types of Global Position System: one in RTK (Leika System) with an error of measure sub metric and one (Top Con technologies) portable and with a metric measure of error. Different proximal sensors for the monitoring to the canopy and to the grape in to the vine (Field Spec and Force A sensor). Software 3D image reconstruction AGISOPHT FOTOSCAN. Equipment for monitoring the distribution of pesticides in field according to EU 127/2009 and 128/2009.  Laboratory for material and food analisys equipped with texture analyzer, pHmeter, ventilated oven, electrical balance and other sensors. Laboratory of Image analisys equipped with software Vision Pro 6.1 and different optical solution. Priority: Reserarch on Precision Viticulture and adoption of UAVs tecnologies in field. Research on the use of olive growing concern electrical labor saving machines for harvesting of table olives from the trees to study the efficiency of different plastic materials (natural rubber, silicone rubber, and vulcanized rubber).
