Stefan Scherer (male), Aerospace Engineer, founder and CEO of Geocledian, has more than 25 years of working experience in EU agriculture subsidies management, software development, satellite remote sensing, agriculture, business development and entrepreneurship. He received the Diploma in Aerospace Engineering from Technical University of Munich (TUM). Stefan has been involved in the conception and realization of several R&D Projects funded by the European Commission and National funding bodies. He was designing and implementing several Land Parcel Identification Systems (LPIS) and also complete Integrated Administration and Control Systems (IACS) for supporting the Common Agricultural Policies (CAP) of the EU in Germany and Azerbaijan. He worked as free consultant for main industry players like GAF doing mainly Geospatial System Engineering and System Development. He was one of the founders of RapidEye (now Planet-Labs), the first commercial high resolution satellite monitoring system for agriculture and part of the start-up team of CloudEO, a cloud platform for EO services.
