Priority: Institut de l'Elevage is a technical institute in charge of applied research on livestock farming. The specifity of the institute is to be run and financed by farmers. We work on milking, feeding, reproduction, milk and meat quality, health, welfare, building, energy saving, environnement, animal recording, on meat and dairy cattle, ghoats, sheeps and dairy ewes. We work with some experimental farms in order to evaluate how new technologies are able to help breeders to manage their farms.
