Dr. Richard Soppe   Head of Natural Resources Management Section | Senior Scientist - Marginal Water Management   Dr. Richard Soppe joined ICBA in 2015 as Senior Scientist in Marginal Water Management. He heads Natural Resources Management Section at the Research and Innovation Division. He has around 22 years of experience in agricultural water management. Previously he worked as Senior Marginal Water Use and Salinity Management Specialist for the Integrated Water and Land Management Program at the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas, Amman, Jordan, and as Irrigation Scientist at CSIRO Land and Water Griffith, NSW, Australia. His current role is mainly focused on marginal water management, including management of saline water as well as grey water and waste water. He holds a Ph.D. in Hydrologic Sciences from the University of California, Davis, USA, and an M.Sc. in irrigation and drainage from Wageningen Agricultural University, the Netherlands.
