Salazar, Researcher of the sustainability and Environment group at the Instituto de Investigaciones Agropecuarias, Centro Regional de Investigación Remehue (Agricultural and Livestock Research, Remehue Research Centre), located in Osorno, Southern Chile. Also associate professor of the Master Science Program on production, management and conservation of natural resources, at the Los Lagos University, Chile. Agronomist from La Frontera University in Chile and Ph.D. of Reading University in UK. His research has focuses mainly on organic waste management, nutrient losses and interaction of soil and atmosphere in cattle production systems. Dr. Salazar has lead and collaborate in research and development, national and international projects, which have provided him global perspective in soil science, organic waste management and environmental research. Currently is also a member of the Livestock Emissions task group for Chilean Greenhouse Gases Inventory and he is also board member of the Chilean Dairy Consortium.
