01-2016 – until now: R&D Manager at APESA Address: APESA (Lescar, France) Topic: Management of R&D activity and research programs on wastes treatment/biomass valorization through biological processes. R&D projects: Coordinator of the BIOPLAST project (Interreg Poctefa) and SPIRALE (ADEME). Partners of five other European and National projects (Interreg Cyclalg, Ademe COMPIC, ANR-Pyrodigest, H2020- NoAW). Main research topics: ● Anaerobic digestion of new biomasses and pretreatment application; ● Monitoring and improvement of the anaerobic digestion process; ● Valorization of digestates for agronomic purposes and through innovative valorization routes (biomaterials, fertilizers, thermochemical processes, microalgae…) 11. 2014 – 01.2016: Post-doctoral researcher Title: “Reactive extrusion for the production of value added molecules and bioethanol from corn stalks” Address: INRA UMR-IATE, Montpellier, France. Research topics: ●Extrusion and reactive-extrusion applied for the production of valuable added molecules from corn stalks / Ethanol fermentation from corn stalks hydrolysate obtain by extrusion pretreatment. 03.2013 – 03.2014: Post-doctoral researcher Title: “Biorefinery applied to lignocellulosic and algae biomasses”. Address: European project (STAR* AgroEnergy 7FP project http://www.star-agroenergy.eu) University of Foggia (Italy). Research topics: ●Participation of the setup of a new laboratory dedicated to biomass analysis, biofuels and valuable added molecules production. Development of my own research thematic in collaborations with other researchers. ●Valorization of algae biomass into biofuels, culture and harvesting of microalgae at lab and pilot-scale. ●Study of alternative valorization routes of anaerobic digestate / Study of the agronomic potential of digestate and biochar. ●Combination of biological and thermo-chemical (pyrolysis, gasification) processes within a biorefinery chain. ●Development of adsorption techniques for the removal of furans compounds. 10.2009 – 10.2012: Ph.D. in bioprocess engineering Title: “Application of pretreatments to enhance biohydrogen and/or methane from lignocellulosic residues: linking performances to compositional and structural features”. Address: INRA, Laboratoire de Biotechnologie de l’Environnement (LBE), Narbonne, France Research topics: ●Characterization of compositional and structural features of lignocellulosic matrix; ●Investigation of compositional and structural features limiting the lignocellulosic conversion into biohydrogen and methane; ●Understanding of pretreatment effects on lignocellulolic compostition and structure; ●Application of thermal, thermo-chemical and enzymatic pretreatments to enhance bio-hydrogen and methane production; ●Study on the impact of pretreatment by-products (furans, phenols) on both anaerobic and dark fermentation processes. 04.2009 – 10.2009: Internship Title: “Investigation of chemical pretreatment to enhance bioethanol and methane production from sunflower oil cakes”. Research topics: ●Optimization of dilute-acid parameters (temperature, time and concentration) for methane production from sunflower oil cakes; ●Oxidative pretreatments to enhance enzymatic hydrolysis of sunflower oil cakes for further conversion into bioethanol. 06.2008 – 09.2008: Internship Title: “Microwaves pretreatments to enhance anaerobic digestion from kitchen waste”.
