PhD in Agricultural Economics, Assoc Professor in the Technical University of Crete since 2015, ERA Chair in Bioeconomy funded by the H2020 project BioEcon in 2017.  SR has lectured in French Universities and the University of Crete and previously served as Assistant Professor in the department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, at the Agricultural University of Athens since 2004 and elected Associate Professor in the Technical University of Crete in Environmental Engineering Department since 2015. He has worked in research in INRA France and in the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania in the energy crop and bio-fuel production economics field. His special interests focus on decision theory and modelling applied to agriculture and bio-energy economics and policy having published over 50 papers and book chapters in agricultural economics, energy policy as well as operations research journals.
