Dr. Tianhai Yan (M) is a programme leader and head of Ruminant Nutrition Unit. His research focus on improving energy and nitrogen utilization efficiencies for dairy and beef production systems and developing mitigation strategies to reduce the environmental footprint in livestock production sectors. Current research is focused on novel approaches to evaluate effects of diet and animal factors on greenhouse gas and ammonia emissions and nitrogen utilization efficiency for cattle and sheep production. He has published over 200 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals and scientific conferences.
