Dr. Tobias Vöpel studied biochemistry and received his Diplom in biochemistry in 2006 and a PhD degree in biophysical chemistry in 2010 from Ruhr University Bochum, Germany. After that he worked as a research scientist in the USA and Germany. In 2017 he joined the work group molecular nanostructures of Prof. Dr. Plumeré as a project coordinator. He is an expert in the field of protein chemistry, biophysical chemistry and bioelectrochemistry. He also has many years of experience in the coordination of interdisciplinary research projects and is a project management expert. Currently he is coordinating EU-funded research projects focusing on biosensor development for agriculture and the process industry.
