Lenny van Erp – van der Kooij (1971) has an MSc in Animal Science from Wageningen University and a PhD in Veterinary Science from Utrecht University. She is specialized in farm animal health and behaviour and focuses on projects in precision livestock farming: using sensors and data in farm animals. She is Professor in Precision Livestock Farming at HAS University of Applied Sciences, Den Bosch, the Netherlands and Visiting Professor of Practice at Harper Adams University, UK. Lenny loves animals, technology and data equally and hopes with her professorate to improve farming systems for the farmer, the animal and the environment.
