Contact by mailGünter Prockl is Associate Prof. for Supply Chain Management (SCM) at Copenhagen Business School. Prior he was Interim Full Prof. at MSM in Duisburg-Essen, Adjunct Prof. and Executive Director at the Chair for Logistics at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg, and Director of SCM at Fraunhofer ATL Nuremberg. He worked several years in research based consulting, conducting numerous large projects for industry, retail, and logistics service providers. He directed relevant projects for industry associations such as “Consumer Direct Logistics” for ECR Europe or engaged in City logistics projects in Nuremberg and Copenhagen. He proposed and participated in several public funded projects both on a national and on EU wide level. Specific expertise refers to business models, digitalization, sustainability in SCM, transport and logistics services and challenges related to business ecosystems, networks and process excellence. A special focus is also on Rural Supply Chain Management. He actively presents to practitioners and researchers on academic conferences, chairs conference tracks, authored and edited several books, reports, chapters and is editorial board member, reviewer and author for international academic journals in the disciplines supply chain management and information management. Günter Prockl has a strong background in management, logistics, supply chain management and information management. He also holds a master of arts in economics.
