Monika Gębska – Associate Prof. (female, PhD, dr inż.) is a zootechnician and economist with a career in university research. She works as assistant professor in the Institute of Management. She graduated from Faculty of Animal Sciences at University of Life Sciences. She has got broad experience in teaching to university students, farmers, operators. She conducts classes in agricultural economics, management of agriculture. Since 1996 she has worked at Warsaw University of Life Sciences at Faculty of Economics. For the last ten years she has done research of social and economic aspects of animal production and animal welfare. In this area she has worked on 10 international projects. E.g: ERA-Net SusAn: Sustainable pig production systems, Horizon 2020 EU Pig Innovation Group (EUPiG), Pilot project on best practices for animal transport, European Animal Welfare Network (EUWelNet), DG SANCO, NEAT: Erasmus Academic Network AHE project, Study on the impact of Regulation (EC) No 1/2005 on the protection of animals during transport, EU7FP ECONWELFARE and others.
