Contact by mailHistory Robor Electronics B.V. was established in 1995 by Roger Borre. The company was (and still is) active in the area of the agribusiness. Products were developed for the remote monitoring health status of horses and cows. Later on ( ~ the year 2000), when the GSM and GPRS techniques were introduced, Robor started developing on devices for vehicle and object tracking. These are used for real-time tracking (fleet management) and alarm systems. In 2010 Robor Electronics broaden its product spectrum toward the UAV market. At this time the site www.dronexpert.nl was created, and the people behind DronExpert.nl are now worldwide known as inventive and innovating development team on UAV applications. Unique products are now developed for precision agriculture, first-responders, Firefighters and industry worldwide. (see key relevant projects) Main domains • Project for controlling autonomous UAV flights. Whereby the drone will be controlled by a mobile network connection • Robor developed already many UAV application to serve public safety (see key relevant projects) • A developed autonomous drone controlled by the mobile network (4G), which can automatically inspect incident locations, with realtime steaming pictures for direct analysing data. • Already sold different relevant products to the first responders, so there is a lot of experience in the manner of doing their incident management. • Robor is already giving courses for the fire department how to use drones in the most efficient way in fire fighting, search and rescue, and incident management, for first responders. Key Relevant Publications, Products, Services or Other Achievements, relevant for the Call • Developed application to auto-detect drowning man or missing persons, with a UAV. By automatic scanning preprogrammed surfaces (f.i. sea or lake) • Tethered drone system which can fly automatically in front of a coast-guard boot/car, to auto-detect drowning people. But can also be used as GSM repeater station. • Wildlife rescue, automatic scan and detect Fawns and bird-nest, before the farmer starts mowing the field. • Real-time gas-sensing for fire-fighters, detect dangerous gasses by a sniffer drone. • Preventive search for starting fires in the forest, a drone that frequently goes high in the sky to detect starting forest fires. • Auto-scan the Fire border at Forest-fires, that makes forest fire fighting more efficient. • UAV with winch and underwater camera, to check the body’s underwater. • Inspection drone for ECS, (explosion clearance services), to inspect suspicious packages from distance. • 4G UAS remote system, live streaming and controlling drone by (mobile) internet. • UTM system, (Unmanned Traffic Management System), UAV can detect other UAV’s to avoid the collision. Could be connected to AIS systems. But can also avoid mobile cranes and other mobile dynamic fence obstacles. (See picture) Projects or Activities connected to the subject of this Proposal • Prototype for controlling autonomic UAV flights. Whereby the drone will be controlled by a mobile network connection. • Product, application for UAV, to Realtime autodetect drowns and missing persons. Specially developed for first responders. • Tethered drone witch can fly automatically and continuous in fronts of vehicles like patrol car or boot for Search and rescue services. WP5.4, drones for public services • Proof of concept, for a Tethered drone-based GSM/UMTS repeater system, used for critical communications • Unmanned Traffic Management, tags to put on drones, as a virtual sense and avoid system build into the drone. Infrastructure or Technical Equipment relevant to the proposed work Location of Robor Electronics is a partner of Space53 UAV test centre in Holland, so al demonstrations can be given in Bentelo, location of Robor electronics BV. Beside that, we will provide a demonstration of • A drone equipped with realtime automatic SAR functions. • Autonomous Drone controlled by 4G remote, with live picture streaming. • UMT-tag for drone, anti-collision system for UAV’s Key Persons Roger Borre (male) (1970) Research and Innovation responsible • 1995 – Started company ROBOR Electronics BV.
