I am a biologist, a science teacher and a gardener and I have been working as an MSc researcher at Luke since 2005. My work has been totally concerning Finnish plant genetic resources (PGR). I am responsible for the PGR databases in Finland and also collecting datasets into international PGR databases: I am EURISCO National Inventory Focal Point and also member of the ECPGR Documentation and Information Working Group. We have been developing at Luke the Finnish national PGR database Kasvinpolku, that collects citizents' knowledge about PGRs and stores for example evaluation data. I am also a chairperson of the PGR Working group for landscaping plants. I have been leading or participating into several PGR evaluation projects and also the projects on education for PGRs. In many projects we have been cooperating with NGOs.
