I am employed as associated professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Jan Kochanowski University (UJK) in Kielce, Poland. I have a doctoral degree (2001) and habilitation (2015) in physical sciences. The main area of my scientific interest concerns issues connected with the use of X-ray and electron spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, as well as microtomography techniques to examine structure of a matter. I have about 160 scientific publications, including many in very prestigious journals, cited over 1500 times (according to Scopus and WoS). I am member of the team of experts of the National Center for Science and the National Research and Development Cente (Poland). I am also head of the Department of Physical Methods at the Holycross Cancer Center in Kielce, where X-ray spectroscopy methods are rutinely used for analysis of biological and medical samples, and head of the Center for Research and Analysis at Jan Kochanowski University, which has an accreditation of Polish Center for Accreditation to perform measurements with TXRF (water) and WDXRF (soils) techniques according to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 norm. At the moment I am also member of management committee of COST Action 18130 project (2019-2023) and leader of BIOMEDIAG subgroup in this project.
