Marios Chrysolouris is a serial food-tech entrepreneur. He holds an MSc in computational mechanics from the National Technical University of Athens. After graduating he worked as a data analyst for Ernst & Young in the Netherlands. In 2017, he founded FreshStrips a food startup aiming to reduce food waste by creating tools to monitor and predict shelf life. FreshStrips was awarded the title "Dutch Chemistry Startup 2017" by Prince Constantijn and Prof. Feringa (Nobel Chemistry 2016). Marios also won awards such as the "Displaying Futures Award" by Merck, the "Get in the Ring" Netherlads, the Mass Challenge startup competition and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Enterprise Forum startup competition. Following this he founded SuSea with a purpose to use machine learning for data mining, to develop novel processes and ingredients for the shelf life extension of seafood. SuSea's solutions cater primarily to the European aquaculture ecosystem. For his work in SuSea he has been selected for the Forbes 30Under30 list and been awarded the EIT Food Innovation Award and is part of the prestigious EIT Food RisingFoodStars network which selects the best agrifood/ICT startups in Europe.https://www.linkedin.com/in/marios-chryssolouris/
