Heinrich Prankl is the Head of Research and Innovation and Deputy Director of the Federal Institute of Education and Research (HBLFA) Francisco Josephinum. Mr. Prankl is educated as agricultural engineer and has studied electrical power engineering at the Vienna University of Technology. After a short time in industry he started his research activities at BLT in Wieselburg. In 2010 he took over the management of the BLT – which in the meantime became to the research division of Francisco Josephinum. Furthermore, Heinrich Prankl is the head of Josephinum Research - an institution with partial legal capacity – carrying out funded research projects. Main competences are precision farming, digitization in agriculture, electric drives, sensor technology, and data and information management.
