Mr. Athanasios Korakis is Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Thessaly and an associate professor at the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (ITI) of the National Centre for Research and Technological Development (CERTH). From 2005 to 2010 he was a Research Fellow at the NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering in New York. His research interests focus on wired and wireless networks with emphasis on experimental research through research infrastructures. He is responsible for the Network and Telecommunications Laboratory (NITLab) and the NITOS experimental infrastructure (Network Implementation Testbed using Open Source software), an infrastructure that provides remote access for experimenters around the world to wireless network technologies (WiFi, LTE, WiMAX). ), SDN, sensors. He has been responsible for 5 European H2020 research projects and has been responsible for over 15 research projects in Europe and America over the last 10 years. He has over 120 publications in international journals and conferences having an h-index: 22 on gscholar, and over 3000 citations in his publications.
