PD Dr. Andreas Meyer-Aurich is a senior scientist at the Leibniz-Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy in Potsdam, Germany. He is lecturing at Humboldt-University Berlin. He holds a PhD in Geoecology from University of Potsdam and Habilitation in Agricultural Economics from Humboldt University Berlin. He is an active member in the German Society of Information technolgy in Agriculture (www.gil-net.de), where he was vice chari from 2016 to 2020. His research focus is on economic and environmental analysis of technologies in agriculture. Currently he is working on the economics of nitrogen fertilizer use in agriculture with respect to upcomming technologies, such as site-specific fertilizer application.
