Dimo Dimov, Project specialist for platform analytics joined Geocledian in March 2018. He has more than 8 years of experience as a geomatics engineer and remote sensing specialist with focus on remote sensing, image processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, crop modeling and geospatial processing. He is a project specialist and backend developer for Earth Observation products, automated data analysis frameworks and integration of machine learning methods within Ag|Knowledge, the Crop Monitoring platform provided by Geocledian. He designed and developed major analytical ML components of the platform. Previously he worked as Research Assistant at the department of Remote Sensing of the University of Würzburg as developer of the Water Use Efficiency Monitor for Central Asia (WUEMOCA), as an expert for GIS and Remote Sensing at Geoville from Austria and as a Research Assistant at the Environmental Cartography and Remote Sensing Group (CGAT) at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain doing geodata processing, development of automated mapping frameworks for land use, environmental monitoring and developing automated mapping methods. He was also teaching at the University of Würzburg within the frame of the Bachelor degree programme “Geography” (guiding exercises and practicals in the field of remote sensing and GIS as well as at 3 bi-weekly Remote Sensing & GIS summerschools at the German-Kazakh University in Almaty, Kazakhstan within the frame of the Central Asian Water project (CAWa). He holds a Master of Science in Geomatics from University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe.
