Steve Vanlanduit (Male, age 49) is a full professor and vice-dean research of the Faculty of Applied Engineering of the University of Antwerp. He is the chairman of the Industrial Vision Lab (InViLab) research group which is focusing on camera-based in-situ material inspection in different application fields (including agriculture). During his career he has obtained funding for more than 30 research projects (both national and EU projects) with a total budget of more than 3 million EUR. He is the initiator of the Optimess FWO Scientific Research Network on Optical Measurement Techniques for Structures and Systems (which he also coordinated between 2004 and 2008). In the last 10 years, he was involved in the organization of 12 international conferences on optical measurement techniques. He has published over 200 scientific papers and has an H-index of 32 (Google Scholar). Steve is a reviewer for many project proposals, both at the national level (FWO, VLAIO, FNRS) and international (H2020). He is editor of several scientific journals related to metrology and sensors (‘Measurement (Elsevier)’, ‘Measurement: Sensors (Elsevier)’, 'Metrology (MDPI)' and ‘Sensors (MDPI’).
