Research Manager of Health & Wellbeing topics (including agriculture) in the Unit of Measurement Technology at the University of Oulu, the main university in Northern Finland. Expertise in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, biosensor development and biomass analytics. In addition to Finland, research experience in Sweden (4 years) and UK (1 year).
Ongoing projects deal with biosensor measurements for nutritional and stress biomarkers in milk and saliva, silage analytics, mobile measurement applications, new antimicrobials.
Project manager and coordinator of two EIP-AGRI operational groups: Smartfeed (https://ec.europa.eu/eip/agriculture/en/news/inspirational-ideas-biosens... or https://www.oulu.fi/sites/default/files/news/AIS2019%20poster.pdf) and Good for cattle that both collaborate with Estonian Dairy Cluster and EIP-AGRI projects coordinated by it. In Finland, there are only 12 EIP AGRI groups funded in total.
