PAOLA PITTIA, Full Professor in Food Science and Technology at UNITE since 2004 and Delegate of the Rector of the University of Teramo for internationalisation since November 2013. She was delegate of the Faculty of Agriculture for mentoring and tutorial activities, included the Erasmus program until 2013 and is member of the board of the PhD in Food Science of the University of Teramo. Her research activity is focused on food quality (volatile compounds, physical, chemico-physical and rheological properties), food processing and product design. She is/was scientific coordinator of researches carried out in national and international projects and in collaboration with food industry. Author of more than 110 peer-reviewed papers on national and international journals and more than 150 published in proceedings and books presented at national and international conferences; she is also co-editor of a book, author of 7 book chapters and editor of 2 proceedings books. H-index (Scopus, Feb 2020): 24. She represented UniTE in the Erasmus TN ISEKI-Food projects and networks (ISEKI-Food 2 and 3) and FP7 Track-Fast; she was the coordinator of the Erasmus Thematic Network ISEKI-Food 4 (www.iseki-food4.eu, 2011-2014) and is now the coordinator of the Erasmus+ KA ASKFOOD project. She is the President of the ISEKI Food Association (IFA) and member of the Italian Food Technology Association (SISTAL); she is registered as Food Technology professional at the Italian Order of Food Technologists.
