Bruno Bernardi was born on Augut 3rd, 1977 in Lamezia Terme, Italy. He is associate professor in Agricultural Mechanics (SSD AGR / 09) - Macro-sector 07 / C - Agricultural, Forestry and Biosystems Engineering at the University “Mediterranea” of Reggio Calabria - Department of Agriculture. He is the Scientific Director of the "Agricultural and Food Mechanization Laboratory” and his teaching activity focuses on machinery and mechanisation in master’s degree courses of Food Science and Technology and Forestry and Environmental Sciences. He was a Tenure-track Senior Research Assistant researcher (RTDb) from 2018 to 2022, and a “Non-tenured” Junior Researcher (RTDa) from 2013 to 2018. He was a Research Fellow during aa.yy. 2018/2019 and 2009/2010.Since 2009 he was a lecturer in Agricultural Engineering in several courses and national and international Masters at the University “Mediterranea” of Reggio Calabria. He achieved a II Level Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering (Monitoring and Environmental Control) in a.y 2010-2011. He successfully discussed his PhD dissertation, entitled "Experiments on mechanization of super-intensive olive orchards in Spain" on March 3rd, 2009. He was the scientific supervisor and/or co-supervisor of several research fellows, bachelor, master's degree, and doctoral thesis. Furthermore, he is an ‘Academic Correspondent’ of the National Olive and Oil Academy of Spoleto, Member of the Italian Association of Agricultural Engineering (AIIA), Member of the European Society of Agricultural Engineers (EurAgEng), member of the editorial board of scientific magazine "Information Processing in Agriculture" (Elsevier). He obtained the PRIMOLIO 2016 award for Research, from PrimOlio Association - Saperi e Sapori di Calabria. Scopus metrics : 24 articles, 222 citations, h. index 9. Web of Science metrics: 21 articles, 149 citations; h. index 7.
